Positive and resilience

It is important for each person to have an awareness in order to revitalize the organization.

If each person thinks positively and enhances resilience, it will lead to the growth of the organization.

Introducing the relationship with positive psychology, which is the basis for thinking about resilience.

What is Positive Psychology?

Positive Psychology was created by Professor Martin Seligman, who was elected President of the American Psychological Association in 1998.

It was proposed.
Until then, psychology has been studied with the aim of treating mental illness, focusing on human weaknesses (negative aspects).

However, in Positive Psychology, we are conducting research such as "enhancing happiness" and "developing excellent talents (strengths)" with the aim of enriching the lives of healthy people. It is called positive psychology because it focuses on developing one's strengths and good aspects and leading a better life.

Increase resilience with positive psychology

In Positive Psychology, research on resilience is being conducted, and the research results are used to improve resilience.

Stress is reduced

Positive psychology states that optimistic people are less likely to feel stressed when faced with difficulties. It's stress tolerant without being pessimistic because I believe it's okay in any situation, which will eventually work if you work hard.
While pessimistic people anticipate the worst results and give up early, optimists are also highly resilient in that they do not succumb to stress and can make continuous efforts.

Challenge positively

Positive psychology focuses on the "strengths" of a person and states that instead of overcoming their weaknesses, they can achieve greater results by leveraging their strengths. By taking advantage of your strengths, you can tackle difficult tasks enthusiastically, and by working toward the "goals you want to achieve," you will be filled with positive energy that will not be overwhelming.

Being motivated and having positive energy are very important for maintaining high resilience.

Recovery is quick even if it fails

Positive thinking, which seeks to see the good side of things, also has a positive meaning from the experience of failure. For example, I made a mistake, but many people helped me (gratitude), I could try a different method next time, I was able to gain new knowledge, and so on. I can do it. This allows you to end the negative emotions of failure and move on. Positive thinking increases resilience and accelerates mental recovery.

At our institute, we provide business coaching to enhance resilience.
In the business coaching course for new leaders and senior managers, the boss learns coaching conversations to bring out the independence of his subordinates and lead to the vitalization of the organization.

In addition, through various courses such as courses for students and programs for working women, we will teach you how to increase resilience and support your life more enjoyably and your own way of life.  If you are interested in business coaching, want to improve your resilience, or want to acquire listening skills, please feel free to contact us.
